ROLE OVERVIEW:

RDL is looking for an experienced and dedicated Chief Executive Officer who can lead the team with an effective business strategy that drives the company’s growth potential.  The role will require strong leadership skills where the ideal candidate will assume responsibility for the staff and help make robust corporate decisions that will elevate the company’s financial and operational performance across multiple international departments.   As the head of RDL, the CEO will foster a positive, inspiring, and collaborative work environment that empowers employees to actively work toward companywide goals. The role is the most senior executive within the organization and as such has ultimate responsibility for ensuring the success and future viability of the company.

ROLE OBJECTIVES:

  • Provide strategic leadership for the organisation working with the Board and ExCom to establish long range goals, strategies, plans and policies
  • Be the key representative of the company in communicating important decisions to business stakeholders & the Board of Directors
  • Develop business strategies and plans to achieve short and long term objectives
  • Oversee all business operations and activities and ensure desired results are produced in line with company’s strategy and mission
  • Hire, develop and motivate a team of industry professionals to deliver on the companies key strategic priorities
  • Manage the company’s overall development and ensure that general operations run seamlessly as employees accomplish established goals
  • Oversee the financial performance, and make strategic and financial decisions that determine the trajectory of the company
  • Monitor budgets, resources, and procedures by working with cross-functional teams
  • Foster a positive company culture through strong, inspirational leadership, with a focus on developing talent
  • Cultivate positive relationships with stakeholders, clients, investors and regulatory bodies.
  • Increase presence and market share in current key markets
  • Create and implement business diversification strategies to increase the business client base, services offered and territories where the company operates
  • Lead organisational governance to ensure compliance with local laws and international best practice
  • Develop an M&A strategy in line with the company vision and strategy
  • Utilise latest technologies and innovations to optimise efficiency and delivery

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop & drive the RDL vision & strategy, working closely with the Board of Directors and stakeholders to consistently grow the business to a global operation becoming a market leader with reference in the industry
  • Create and implement a sustainability plan that drives economic, social and environmental best practice
  • Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities
  • Monitor & drive business performance and ensure appropriate allocation of resources and management of risks to ensure that the business objectives are fully delivered
  • Provide visible, motivational, and inspiring leadership for RDL as a figurehead and role-model both internally and externally to ensure that every member of staff is motivated to fully contribute to the delivery of the strategy and ensure an appropriate and positive external profile is maintained
  • Ensure quality standards are met and client satisfaction targets are achieved

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Expert understanding of corporate finance and business management
  • Strong knowledge of financial, technical, and economic concepts
  • Proven success as a senior executive managing departmental teams / with a minimum five years’ experience at Chief Executive, Chief Operating Officer, or General Manager level
  • Familiarity with regional regulatory compliance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Events, Hospitality and Sports Industries
